In 2008, Susanne Christensen started The Marzipan House™
making delicious, all natural, handmade chocolate covered marzipan in many varieties for all occasions throughout the year.
From the kitchen of her home, nestled among the pine trees in the Pocono Mountains of Pennsylvania, Susanne makes fresh
batches of quality chocolate covered marzipan each day. Now you can enjoy our special homemade dark or milk chocolate covered marzipan
when delivered to your home.
The special taste of our
marzipan starts with fresh California almonds, just enough sugar and the finest Belgian chocolate. The
natural almond flavor comes alive in your mouth, complementing the chocolate covering. You can taste the freshness of clean
distinctive flavors because The Marzipan House™ only uses natural ingredients. Small handmade
batches are made fresh daily to ensure the best possible quality and flavor.
Besides
using “traditional” marzipan, we offer a variety of other unique flavors blended in our marzipan chocolates. Nougat Marzipan
is a homemade blend of our marzipan with a Scandinavian nougat
– an incredibly creamy hazelnut and chocolate nougat that is rarely available in the USA. Savory
Espresso Marzipan is made by infusing our marzipan with just enough robust espresso, creating a distinctive
“mocha” taste.
Additional original
chocolates, Pecan-Pan™
and Walnut-Pan™, are
based upon the marzipan paste idea. Susanne unexpectedly invented
these tasty treats during the annual chocolate making process at Christmas. She ran out of fresh almonds late one evening,
and had more chocolate gifts to prepare for the next day. So, she improvised and used walnuts and pecans to
make two new pastes. The response was so favorable, everyone wanted more! The result became our luscious Pecan-Pan™ and scrumptious
Walnut-Pan™
